Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of Athena's chatbot, hosted page and related tools (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
The service
Athena reads the website and details you provide, and lets a chatbot answer your visitors from that material. It also provides a hosted page, forms, ordering and booking tools, and a dashboard. Features can change over time. Some features depend on third parties, such as WhatsApp or payment providers, and need accounts with them.
Your content and the answers it produces
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what your website and profile say, including prices, hours, offers and policies. The chatbot repeats that material; it does not check it.
- If your content does not answer a question, the chatbot says so and records the question for you. It is not a substitute for a person where a customer needs one.
- The chatbot gives business information. It does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and you must not present it as doing so.
- You confirm you have the right to use the content, photos and names you provide.
Accounts
Keep your owner key and login private. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.
Payment
Paid plans are billed through Razorpay at the price shown when you subscribe. If a payment is not active, we pause your chatbot and hosted page, and visitors see a short notice that the service is temporarily unavailable. Your data is kept, you can still open your dashboard, and everything switches back on once payment goes through.
Acceptable use
You must not use the service to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- send spam, or collect or use visitor details for purposes the visitor would not expect;
- point the crawler at a site you do not own or run, or try to reach other systems through the service;
- try to get around limits, security measures or the instructions the chatbot follows;
- put out content that is deceptive, harmful or unlawful.
We may suspend a chatbot or page that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can.
Visitor information
For information your visitors give through the chatbot, forms, orders or bookings, you decide what is collected and why, and you are responsible for using it lawfully, including giving visitors any notices the law requires. We handle it on your behalf as described in our privacy policy.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. We may change or retire features, and will give notice of changes that significantly affect paying customers.
Our responsibility
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, Athena is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or business, arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending use
You can stop using the service at any time. Because we keep data for businesses whose plans lapse, tell us at support@athenaglobal.in if you want your records anonymised or removed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in India that have jurisdiction will hear any dispute.
